Osborn, Brubaker... Disappearing names and 6000 year old Mitoochondrial DNA

 Women's names are problematic.  Fluid and essentially a sign of, if not ownership, then legal guardianship, women's surnames most often point to names used by their fathers, husbands, or legal guardians.   

Some of the names in my direct female lineage of the past 200 years include Osborn, Palmer, Brubaker, and Daniels.
